This wiki was founded with the aim to facilite the communication of work groups of particular projects on simulation of surface nanostructures AND to provide information about the recent results in this field to the general public. SimNANO Wiki contain also the general information about the methods of simulations. You can learn about conditions of access here.

An overview of all the projects is here.
The general subject of this project is the study of metalic heteroepitaxy. The main problem is the evaluation of effects of misfit between substrate and adsorbate on the kinetics of growth and on the morphology of resulting surface features. The topic is investigated in connection with project MagDot.
Goal of the project is to study mechanisms of the formation and properties of nano structures (dots and wires) prepared by the deposition of various metals (Ag, In, Pb, Sn, etc). The focus is on submonolayer regime, but multilayer growth is also investigated.
We study the formation of surface nanostructures in multicomponent materials, in particular, self-organization due to interplay of two competing mechanisms. The creation of structures composed of alternating stripes formed of bulk-immiscible adsorbates during submonolayer heteroepitaxy is investigated.
